WSOP: André Akkari Makes Good Progress in Event #90



André Akkari reaches the Brazilian border on Day 2...

The last WSOP tournament kicked off this Friday (14th) with many Brazilian stars in attendance. That was the case for Event #90, a $10,000 6-hand NLH tournament with 495 entrants and 198 senior players. The Brazilian team took the place of 6 players on Day 2.

Top of the Brazilian team was ace Andre Akkari, who ended Day 1’s blind levels with 303,000 in chips. Eliminated in the final race In the Main Event, Rodrigo Motoki continued to struggle and made the cut. He manages 222,000 chips.

Also competing for the bracelet in Brazil are Tauan Naves (192,000), Felipe Mojave (103,000), Pedro Garagnani (77,000) and Renan Aziz (61,500). The chip leader is Austria’s Tobias Schwecht with 546,000 in chips.

Day 2 of the competition will start this Saturday (15th) at 17:00 Brazil time. The blinds were back at 1,000/2,500, and the blinds had a huge ante. Entry will remain open until competition resumes and the WSOP will announce prizes shortly.
